Frequently asked questions
Why aren't my rides showing up?
Pull down to sync on the main screen. Wearage fetches new rides on demand — it doesn't run in the background. If rides are still missing after syncing, make sure Wearage still has access to your Strava account at strava.com/settings/apps.
How do I add a component to a bike?
Tap a bike from the garage screen, then tap the + button to add a component. You can set a custom install date if the component was fitted before you started using Wearage — the app will backfill wear from your Strava history.
What's the difference between total wear and service distance?
Total wear counts all distance ridden since the component was installed. Service distance resets when you log a service event (e.g. re-waxing a chain) and counts from that point. Both are shown separately on the component detail screen.
Can I use Wearage without a Strava account?
Not currently — Strava is how Wearage gets your ride data. A Strava free account works fine; you don't need a subscription.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email the address above and we'll permanently delete your account, bikes, components, and sync history within 30 days. You can also revoke the app's Strava access at any time at strava.com/settings/apps.
Does Wearage work on Android?
Wearage is currently iOS only. Android support may come in a future version — email us if that matters to you.
Is my ride data safe?
Yes. Wearage only syncs distance and bike association from your rides — no GPS routes, heart rate, or power data. Your Strava tokens are stored encrypted in the iOS Keychain. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
